A festival that connects the East and the West in the heart of Krakow!
The Second Edition of the International Monodrama Theatre Festival SITFY Poland will take place on May 15–18, 2025 – an event that is becoming an important voice of multicultural dialogue on the Krakow artistic scene.
The festival is held under the patronage of the Multicultural Centre in Kraków, operated by the IB Polska Foundation, and the City of Kraków is a partner of the event.
SITFY Poland is the Polish branch of the Egyptian SITFY festival (
https://www.facebook.com/SITFYeg ), whose mission is to build bridges between cultures through the art of theater. It is the only festival in the region that brings together such diverse artistic traditions from Europe, Asia and the Middle East, making it a unique cultural phenomenon.
The festival is organized thanks to international cooperation: the Egyptian SITFY team is responsible for the artistic setting, foreign promotion and the concept of the event, while KITE Theater from Poland coordinates local activities, directing and promotion in the country. Volunteers from Poland and Egypt are also involved in the organization. The goals of the festival include : building international artistic cooperation, exchanging theatrical experiences between the East and the West, promoting Krakow as a place of cultural synergy, creating a space for annual artistic meetings of a global nature.
