W przestrzeni ruin baszty włoski artysta Victor Manzoni zaprezentuje interaktywną instalację audiowizualną „All the love back home” pod kuratorstwem Marii Varlyginy.
W centrum tego egzystencjalnego projektu znajduje się więź rodzinna. Ród wydaje się czymś, co zanika, jakby traciło swój ślad, a jednak to właśnie rodzinny krąg — matryca pierwotnego świata człowieka — porusza tryby czasu. Wystawa odwołuje się do doświadczenia, które kształtuje nas poprzez rodzinę i przypomina o znaczeniu pozostawania w kontakcie z tą częścią siebie, która utrzymuje więź z rodem.
W polifonicznej formie artysta splata głosy pokoleń — tak, jak je pamięta, co w nich odczuwa i do których nieustannie z jakiegoś powodu powraca. Każdy odwiedzający może wybrać, w jaki sposób połączy się ze swoim wewnętrznym „ja”, dotykając ścian Baszty wyposażonych w sensory, które za każdym razem uruchamiają unikalne reakcje dźwiękowe i wizualne.
Oświadczenie artysty:
„Bycie artystą w obecnej epoce oznacza dostęp do ogromnej różnorodności mediów, z którymi można eksperymentować i nieskończonych sposobów nawiązania kontaktu ze światem za ich pośrednictwem.
Prowokowanie, kwestionowanie i zabawa różnymi danymi wejściowymi oferowanymi przez świat to moje absolutne priorytety. Skupiam się na odkrywaniu ironii, która przenika współczesność i przekładaniu jej na obrazy, dźwięki, a przede wszystkim doświadczenia”.

On May 22 at 7:00 PM, Baszta Gallery invites you to the opening of the exhibition “All the love back home” by Italian artist Victor Manzoni. Set within the ruins, the artist presents an interactive audiovisual installation — an existential project reflecting on family ties as a primal structure of human experience. Through a polyphonic narrative, Manzoni intertwines the voices of generations — as he remembers them, what he senses within them, and those to which, for some reason, he keeps returning.
Each visitor can choose how to connect with their inner self by touching Baszta’s sensor-equipped walls, triggering unique sound and visual responses each time.
The exhibition addresses the personal experience shaped by family ties and reminds us of the importance of remaining in contact with that part of ourselves which carries the bond with our lineage.
In this work, lineage appears as something elusive, seemingly fading, yet in truth it is the family circle — the matrix of one’s first world — that silently turns the wheels of time.
Artist’ s statement:
“Being an artist in the current era means having access to an enormous variety of media to experiment with and infinite ways to engage with the world through them. Provoking, questioning, and playing with the different inputs the world offers are my absolute priorities. My focus is to unveil the irony that permeates the contemporary and translate it into images, sounds, and, above all, experiences”
Victor Manzoni
Is a visual artist who works across various expressive fields, testing the boundaries and possibilities of different languages and using them to explore the social dynamics of the contemporary world.
He was born and raised in a small mountain village in northern Italy, where he developed a deep sense of belonging to the close-knit community he comes from, before moving to Milan, where he
currently lives, works, and studies. He specialized in video art and multimedia installations while studying at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2024. In Milan, he collaborated with several city institutions, such as “Cineteca di Milano” and “Casa degli Artisti”, and co-founded the association “City Art” with Angelo Caruso. He is currently enrolled at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where he is deepening his exploration of the relationship between body and space through performative and interactive practices.
