We are a parents’ association working with children and youth with deafness for their social inclusion.

International Week of Deaf People (IWDP) will be celebrated annually through various activities by Deaf Communities all around the world during the last full week of September. This year, the theme of IWDP is “No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights”. It will start on September 22, 2025, and end on September 28, 2025.

#Anweshan2025: Anwesha Kolkata organizes its annual awareness programme “Anweshan” around this time of the year because this is a time when, across the world, efforts are made specifically to raise awareness on deafness, its challenges, and its potential.

To observe the IWDP, Anwesha Kolkata is planning to organize various awareness activities to sensitize the community.
