We are thrilled to present the exhibition "Knots of Time" - an artistic project by Lacing Laboratory - bridging traditional and contemporary lacemaking.
The exhibition "Knots of Time" is a result of a long experimental process - an entirely new format: repurposed materials in frames. A dual movement exploring the roots of lace to nurture research lead by materials, techniques and atmospheres. Individual threads bound by a frame and knotted in an intricate whole.
Lacing Laboratory started in 2022 when Filip Rukan and Loïc Luchini’s interest in crafts and sustainability found an almost forgotten tradition: lacemaking – ‘knipling’ in Danish. For three years, they have crafted big-scale installations from discarded materials in the fields of scenography, visual arts and design.

The exhibition is on show in the Hall of Bygning 5 October 2nd -> January 15th . Admission is free 🤗
