ABOUT
Movement Research is the pedagogical platform by Paola Madrid l SORTA Project running since 2013.
Regular classes and workshops are open to a wide audience of both amateur and professional dancers .
Conceived as a space of possibility, an opening around dance and movement, Movement Research has
been a significant space for multiple cultural , human and artistic encounters.
COURSE CONTENT
During the practice of Movement Research - dance practice, we'll use several tasks and structures with the aim of gathering our dance into a social and performing aspect. Improvisation will be the base of our
practice. From solo’s to group community-exercises we will find strategies to encourage our movement
qualities and movement situations.We will develop strength, coordination and perception. The negotiation
between the technical and emotional body -playfulness- will be the main objective inside movement
research class.This practice may lead us to composition/choreographic research, but also to get to know
others through dancing. This practice is open to everybody, professional and amateurs.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
There is limited availability for 25 participants.
Price: 175 EUR (normal fee) or 155 EUR (early bird: inscription only before JUNE 6th, 2025)
