Homeschool Birding Program: Great Backyard Bird Count

**This program is part of our monthly Homeschool Birding Program for kids ages 6-12. Pre-registration is required.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is held every February. People from all over the world count birds for four days and submit their data to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. These observations help scientists understand bird populations just before they set off on their spring migration. We will be observing birds in the gardens near the Bluebird Barn, and hike about 2 miles through the park keeping a list of everything we see.

Please come prepared with good walking shoes and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
