The two charities we are aiming to support are The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and The Christie Charity.
The RNRMC is a charity that supports serving Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel as well as their families and veterans. They help throughout life and channel their funds to where need is identified at whatever stage. From elderly care, through mental health provision for children's charities, their outcomes demonstrate tangible differences at whichever stage in life that a safety net is needed. Focusing on our serving community they are putting our junior rates, other ranks and families at the top of their agenda. Their outcomes will be to show improvements to the lives of those in uniform and to their families. Then unfortunately when the worst happens and a loved one passes away while serving they provide immediate and unquestioned financial assistance at a time which is already stressful enough for a family.
The Christie Charity is integral to the success of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust by
providing enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Funding from the charity
makes a huge difference to the care and treatment that the hospital can offer patients and
their families.
The support of their committed and loyal fundraisers allows The Christie Charity to assist the
Trust in four main areas: research, care and treatment, education and extra patient services,
and enables their NHS colleagues to give patients and their families the very best care from
the very best staff in the very best environment with the very best equipment.
