The Daniel’s Scholarship Golf Tournament

Zane and Dirk Daniel were two beloved attorneys who dedicated their lives and careers to serving the people of East Tennessee. Known for their sharp legal minds, outgoing personalities, and generous spirits, Zane and Dirk were respected professionals and cherished members of their community. Their shared passion for the game of golf reflected their belief in its power to teach discipline, build character, and bring people together.

To honor their legacy and love for the sport, the Zane and Dirk Daniel Memorial Golf Scholarship has been established through the Tennessee Golf Foundation, located in Franklin, Tennessee. The Foundation is committed to supporting the careers of young, aspiring golfers across the state, not only by providing financial assistance, but also through emotional, educational, and physical support as they work to compete at higher levels.

The Zane and Dirk Daniel Scholarship Fund will be an ongoing initiative, supported through donations and future fundraising events—beginning with this memorial tournament. This scholarship will help equip promising young golfers with the tools they need to excel, grow, and embrace the lifelong benefits of the game.

Zane and Dirk were not only avid golfers themselves, but passionate advocates for youth involvement in the sport. Their enthusiasm for encouraging the next generation to pursue golf is the very heart of this scholarship. It is with great pride that this fund is introduced by Creed Daniel, who is Zane’s brother and Dirk's father, with the help of close family friend Carl Papa—all of whom are committed to carrying on their legacy by growing the game they loved.

Zane and Dirk would no doubt be honored by this effort to inspire and support young golfers in their name.

This tournament will give participants the opportunity to meet, greet and share stories about Zane and Dirk. Play a fun challenging course, eat BBQ and have a beer all while listening to live music!

All this while being a contributor to a very worthwhile cause!
