Saxophoniste et compositrice, Annie Dominique œuvre professionnellement sur la scène montréalaise depuis 25 ans. En plus d’être membre de plusieurs ensembles tels le Jazz Big Band de Vic Vogel, le Jazzlab Orchestra et le Jean-Nicolas Trottier Tentet, elle est invitée à participer à plusieurs concerts et tournées avec différents groupes dont l’Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal, Yves Léveillé, Elvis Expérience, Christian-Marc Gendron (Pianoman II et III) et a performé sur plus d’une vingtaine d’albums.
C’est en juin 2022 que le Annie Dominique Quintet lance son troisième album nommé Réfléchir la nuit, précédé de Rue Langevin (2017) et Tout Autour (2015). Les membres de l’élite du jazz montréalais qui participent à ces derniers sont Jean-Nicolas Trottier, trombone, Jonathan Cayer, piano, Sébastien Pellerin, contrebasse, Alain Bourgeois, batterie, et, Annie Dominique, saxophone ténor, clarinette basse et flûte traversière, qui signe la composition et les arrangements de toutes les pièces. L’interprétation et la technique des instrumentistes sont sans pareil. Le regroupement de ces musiciens ayant chacun une carrière florissante donne une personnalité particulière à chacune des pièces et transmet une émotion forte grâce à leur jeu délicat et précis.

Saxophonist and composer Annie Dominique has been active professionally on the Montreal scene for 25 years. In addition to being a member of ensembles such as Vic Vogel’s Jazz Big Band, the Jazzlab Orchestra and the Jean-Nicolas Trottier Tentet, she has been invited to participate in numerous concerts and tours with groups including the Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal, Yves Léveillé, Elvis Expérience, Christian-Marc Gendron (Pianoman II and III), and has performed on over twenty albums.
In June 2022, the Annie Dominique Quintet released its third album, Réfléchir la nuit, preceded by Rue Langevin (2017) and Tout Autour (2015). The members of Montreal’s jazz elite on the latter are Jean-Nicolas Trottier, trombone, Jonathan Cayer, piano, Sébastien Pellerin, double bass, Alain Bourgeois, drums, and, Annie Dominique, tenor saxophone, bass clarinet and flute, who composes and arranges all the pieces. The musicians’ interpretation and technique are second to none. The grouping of these musicians, each with a flourishing career, gives each piece its own personality, and conveys strong emotion through their delicate, precise playing.
