You are warmly invited to join us at our 7:30am or 9am services as we continue our current, 12-week preaching series on Paul, with sermons divided into 3 parts: 1) Paul's story (concluded already) 2) Great themes of Paul (second sermon this coming Sunday) 3) Paul's epistle to the Colossians.
Sermons are preached by Rev Roger Scholtz, at services held in the KMC Chapel and Hall respectively, from 3 August to 19 October 2025. This will be augmented by 3 special teaching lectures to complement material presented at services - the first two of these already having been presented (audio link and visual slides are available from the church office). Lecture 3 will be held on Wednesday, 1 October in the afternoon (1-2:30pm) and then repeated in the evening (6:30 to 8pm). Small groups / Bible Study groups also receive notes and questions for discussion and reflection each week - this may also be used by individuals to broaden our spiritual horizons.
We commend to you this exciting time of teaching and growing closer to Jesus, and look forward to sharing sermons, teaching lectures and notes with you. Here are a few other insights to encourage participation:
"Apart from Jesus himself, no single figure has done more to shape Christianity than Paul." (Ben Witherington III)
"Paul saw more clearly than anyone else that in Christ, God was creating one new humanity from all nations." (Lesslie Newbigin)
"Paul speaks to our contemporary world with remarkable directness and power." (N.T. Wright)
