We are pleased to invite you to hear from the nationally and internationally renowned social justice, youth and multicultural community advocate, Mr Beny Aterdit Bol OAM about his new book: Blessed and Unblessed, and Athiei Foundation fundraising, hosted by Multicultural Affairs - Department of Premier and Cabinet, South Australia in partnership with Eastside Rams, African Communities Council of South Australia, Athiei Foundation, Village SupportLimited and Queensland African Communities Council. Beny's new book is dedicated to his late daughter,Athiei, and it uncovers various topics including systemic and structural barriers of rmulticultural communities, youth justice issues, education and refugee-related challenges.

ABOUT BENY BOL OAM
Beny holds two Masters: Master of International Law from Griffith University and Master of Governance, Public Policy and Development from the University of Queensland. He's a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia, University of Queensland Vice Chancellor's Alumni Excellence Award 2024, Griffith University's Young Alumni of the Year 2022, among others. He's the Managing Director of Village Support Limited and immediate past president of the Queensland African Communities Council and has held several managerial roles, mostly in youth engagement and crime prevention area.
ABOUT THE ATHIEI FOUNDATION
The Foundation honours Athiei B e n Aterdit Bol, who died at the age of 13 under unacceptable circumstances. It promotes her legacy through education, health, leadership, peace, and climate advocacy. Her father, Beny Aterdit Bol OAM established this foundation to build schools, offer scholarships, mentor youth, and advocate for justice, democracy, and educational values.
