Aligned with the fire element, this practice supports the heart and small intestine meridians, encouraging connection, passion, and joy. The fire element governs transformation as it is the alchemical force that burns away what no longer serves, clears stagnation, and ignites the spirit. When balanced, the fire element brings warmth, vitality, and an open-hearted presence. When imbalanced, it can manifest as anxiety, restlessness, or a sense of disconnect.
Through gentle yin postures during a 75-minute practice, the fire meridians are nourished. Add in the combination of sound throughout and a lengthy sound bath in savasana, and the nervous system becomes regulated. The combination of yin yoga with the frequencies of crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums and more, allows the practice to become a powerful experience of restoring the mind, body and spirit back to harmony.
