Every Child Matters 🧡 A free bowl homemade moose chili, bannock and coffee for those who RVSP by hitting the attending button for this event post. Looking forward to meeting old friends from the past and making new ones.
Join me this week, Thursday, September 25th from 6–8 PM at 4 Spruce Street, Gogama for a Sharing & Learning Circle. We’ll come together to share, listen, and learn what this day and other important days such as MMIW2S+ signifies—honouring Survivors of Residential Schools and remembering the children who never came home, as well as those who have been missing for too long.
This is a welcoming, respectful space for everyone from Gogama and surrounding area. If you can, wear orange or red in solidarity. I'll share what and why the colours signify if you're not sure. This is a safe space to ask questions; there are no right or wrong questions.
Why it matters: This September 30th—also known as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day—invites us to learn the true history, uphold Survivors’ voices, and commit to meaningful actions toward healing and reconciliation.
