Overview
Join us to explore our free to access Makerspace in the heart of Kirkcaldy.
Welcome to the Every One Every Day Make-It Day!
Alongside the local community we are creating dedicated spaces for creating, creativity and connection. We call them Makerspaces. We are at the beginning stages of designing Makerspaces based on feedback from recent makers evenings, and value your insights as someone who is part of the local community. Therefore, we’d love to invite you to see what’s been built and created so far!
Our Makerspace has dedicated areas for Sewing and Fabric, Yarn, Paper, Clay and General Crafts.
Join us on the day to see the space and develop the where, when and hows of the Makerspaces, and the Repair Cafe. We’ll also have some food together and celebrate community among neighbours and friends (let us know about any dietary needs).
This is a free event. Suitable for all ages an abilities, everyone is welcome.
11:00 - 12:00 - Conversation about a potential Repair Café in Kirkcaldy.
12:00 - 13:00 - Open Table Lunch (if you want to bring a dish to share you are welcome to).
13:00 - 13:30 – Guided tour of the Makerspace.
13:30 - 14:30 - In-depth explore at the Fabric, Yarn, Clay and Paper areas (bring along your creations to show others if you wish).
