Winter Solstice Yoga Classes

oin Jo Mitchell for a Winter Solstice Celebration Yoga class at the Adam Smith Theatre from 11.30am until 12.30pm.

This class is suitable for beginners and all equipment is provided if you need it.

This Iyengar Yoga Winter Solstice practice will be framed around stillness, turning inward, restoration and welcoming the return of light.

Join Jo Mitchel Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher for a 1 hour class offering grounding and reflective poses that build inner warmth and stability. There will be supported forward extensions to rest and restore, and restorative set ups to help recouperate and rest including Setu Bandha and legs up the wall (Viparita Karani).

The Winter Solstice takes place on Sun, 21 Dec 2025 at 3:03 pm. It's the darkest day of the year for those of us in the Northern hemisphere, and we start coming out from darkness from this day.
