Here is a little about Nicola:
Nicola Madill is a gothic folk rock artist from Scotland’s east coast, known for atmospheric and emotionally rich songwriting. In 2025, she will release her new album Absentee and embark on a UK tour supporting Martin Stephenson.
Described as "hauntingly beautiful" and "spellbinding," Nicola’s music blends soulful melodies with deep lyrical themes of love, loss, and transformation. Her 2017 album Selene received critical acclaim, and her live shows have been praised for their dark, refined atmosphere.
Absentee features seven songs inspired by tarot, folklore, and the metaphysical, weaving imagery and symbolism with influences from Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, and Radiohead. Nicola’s voice — both earthy and ethereal — invites listeners into a world of beauty, mystery, and emotional depth.
