Back by popular demand after a sell out class in March. Join us in the Design Suite at Adam Smith Theatre for a Jewellery Making Workshop and design a bespoke ring in just two hours.
What You’ll Do
In this hands-on session, you’ll work with jewellers’ wax and professional carving tools to create your very own design. Once your wax model is complete, it will be sent away to be cast into silver using the ancient art of lost wax casting. Your ring will then be hand-finished to your specifications. Your completed silver ring will be ready for collection from the Adam Smith Theatre within three weeks of the workshop.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or those looking to try something new. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of jewellery-making techniques and a stunning creation to treasure forever.

About the Workshop Facilitator
This session is led by Kate Pickering, OnFife’s Creative Instigator and an accomplished jeweller with over a decade of experience in the craft. She has been inspiring creativity and supporting emerging talent across Scotland since 2009, bringing her expertise to communities in unique and exciting ways.
Kate’s workshops have been hosted in some of Scotland’s coolest venues in Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dumfries, Aberdeen and Inverness. Her friendly, approachable style ensures a fun and relaxed atmosphere for participants of all skill levels.
