We are bringing the wild to the Carolinian forests of Kingsville, Ontario! Join Rooted and Ready, a 3-day forest school survival experience that helps children thrive outdoors while learning real-world skills in a fun, supportive environment.
This intensive forest school experience is designed to teach the Core Four of Survival—Shelter, Water, Fire, and Food—through hands-on activities, team challenges, and individual growth opportunities.
Kids will:
🔥 Build emergency shelters & tie survival knots
💧 Locate and purify water using fire
🌞 Learn to navigate using the sun and natural landmarks
🌿 Explore wild plants, carve, weave, and craft
🧭 Complete a final day survival simulation as a team
🌟 Each day starts with calming sensory practices and ends with reflective sit spots and storytelling.
Led by Dr. Shawn Slade, an experienced educator and wellness guide, this program is about more than outdoor skills—it builds real confidence, mindfulness, and leadership.
