Festival of Butterflies invites nature enthusiasts of all ages to celebrate the Midwest’s most whimsical pollinator at Powell Gardens. Spend a day outdoors exploring tropical and native butterflies alongside stunning botanic displays. This festival is a Kansas City family-favorite!

In 2025, Festival of Butterflies will introduce a brand-new observation beehive! Take a trip around the world with special evening performances and cuisine from Mexico (July 19), India (July 26), and Greece (August 2).

From July 17-August 3, general admission includes Festival of Butterflies and Jurassic Garden as well as normal access to the Gardens. Powell Gardens members receive free admission!
