Unco Drift is a gently guided movement class blending contemporary dance, intuitive flow, and elements of tai chi. Designed to ground and soothe, it offers room to move freely and have some fun.
Classes explore shifting themes, with space to move in ways that feel natural, playful, and expressive.
Music forms part of the experience as we play with how sound and tempo can shape our movement and mood. Each sequence is simple, yet can be expressed in many ways — leaving plenty of room for your own creativity and interpretation.
Whether you need to step away from life’s pressures for an hour or are specifically seeking movement that’s gentle on your joints, this class meets you where you are.
A calming and refreshing class, Unco Drift could be a great way to relieve any stress or tension and is suitable for beginners, people returning to movement after a break, folks in bigger bodies, people with joint, mobility concerns or managing chronic health conditions. Maybe you fit under some, all or none of the above, and just want some space and time to take for yourself - we welcome people from all walks of life to join us in this gently guided movement practice. While the class is taught standing, it can easily be done seated — chairs are available, and everyone is warmly welcome.
