Julian Catford and Trevor Hanson at Cellar Cat, Thursday 21 August

Trevor Hanson returns to Cellar Cat in Kingston on Thursday 21 August from 5-7:30, joined by guitarist Julian Catford.

Trevor plays solo 7- and 8-string guitar in many styles: jazz, classical, latin, and improvised compositions.

Julian is well known in the Northwest; his lively improvisations and compositions draw from many musical styles, including lots of jazz plus a special emphasis on Latin American music. He studied classical guitar with Carlos Barbosa-Lima and Guillermo Fierens (a student of Segovia). Julian has worked with many notables, such as The Mills Brothers, Cab Calloway, and Rosemary Clooney; and he has performed throughout the world.
