Climate Solutions Week Book Discussion: The Serviceberry

While conversations about the environment can often feel heavy, there is still so much beauty, joy, and abundance to be found in the natural world. We’re celebrating Hudson Valley Climate Solutions Week+ with a hopeful and thought-provoking discussion of The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer.



In this powerful essay, Kimmerer—botanist, member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and author of Braiding Sweetgrass—asks us to reconsider our ideas of wealth and value. Through the humble serviceberry, she explores how true abundance grows not from accumulation, but from reciprocity, relationship, and care.
