Estonian guitar-picker Andres Roots offers a hardcore reshaping of the blues," suggests Songlines magazine's Martin Longley. "Roots has a modernised appeal, but one that rears up from a pallet of vintage down-home US blues."

A guitarist/songwriter whose recordings have received airplay on five continents and who has toured throughout Europe and in the USA, Roots has also composed music for theatre, films and TV, while his Golden Disc-earning 2016 LP "Roots Music" remains the only blues album ever to top the sales charts in the Baltics. His current acoustic CD "Royal Spa Blues - Live from Temperance" was recorded in Leamington Spa last summer and launched with a string of dates in Wales and England this March, reaching #2 in the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association's monthly airplay chart in the process.


"You could be forgiven for thinking your ears or eyes deceive you, given it sounds like either there are two musicians/guitars involved, or he has six fingers on each hand," comments Ross Muir in his FabricationsHQ concert review. "Yeah; he’s a bit good."
