Imagine strolling through the heart of town, the hum of summer still in the air, towards a community centre aglow with soft bunting, laughter, and the comforting scent of something sweet on the breeze.
Tables groan with homemade cakes, dainty sandwiches, freshly baked scones (jam‑first or cream‑first? That’s entirely up to you!), biscuits and a pot of piping‑hot tea to pour. Each slice of cake, each clink of china, carries the promise of support, research, and real change.
It’s not just tea. It’s community, conversation and connection. While you savour your cakes, you’ll also have the chance to chat with fellow guests, perhaps enjoy a light‑hearted fundraising quiz or game, or take part in a raffle for lovely prizes donated by local businesses, always a much‑loved feature of an Afternoon Tea event
