Our day out!

Join us as we head to Hornswoggle for a book club day out for a read beside the seaside!
If your planning on coming along, please mark yourself as “going”
on the Facebook event so I can check we are all present and correct and don’t head to the beach without you.
We will meet outside the Hornsea Hub, at the sign facing the beach (see photo) at 12.30pm and head to the sand shortly afterwards to settle down, slap on some sun cream and get ready to read for an hour at 1pm.
If you need to get the bus / the “peasant wagon” there, you can meet us at Hull Interchange and grab the 24 from stand 31 at 10.15am and we can travel there together.
It works out cheapest to get singles there for £3 each way or a return which is about six quid my intel tells me. (I think I’ll opt for a hull day pass to get me to station then a single there and back from Hornsea).
Bring your book. A picnic. Something to sit on. Your shades. Your umbrella. A drink, hat, jumper whatever you need with you. It’s likely to be a balmy 20 degrees and not due to rain but… you know.
The buses home are 14.55, 16.55 and 18.55 depending on how long you’re planning on hanging about.
Obviously, no man or woman left behind but everyone is responsible for themselves and after the reading you’re free to wander off and hit the amusements and tuppenny nudgers, get chips and ice cream or stay on the beach a bit.
It’ll be a grand time!
