Honouring Our NHS NICU Heroes
This event is being hosted by me for a friend of mine .
His Daughter Cara has had to call on the help of the ward in the description below.
To give a little back , it turns out the staff have to pay for their own refreshments.
We want to supply them with these refreshments for free.
We will meet at Next car park at Giltbrook NG162RP and proceed to the Nottingham City hospital via Ilkeston, wollaton and onto the ring roads.
We will require all riders to bring either tea bags , Coffee, Sugar, Sweetners or coffee whitener.
Cara’s story.
We can’t help but feel overwhelming gratitude towards the staff at Nottingham Neo Natal Unit. It is an emotion that’s been with us ever since our neonatal journey began six years ago.
Our daughter Cara was born via emergency C-section after reduced movements were detected. We spent five intense weeks in Nottingham City Hospital’s NICU, where we received extraordinary care. Today, Cara is thriving—hitting every milestone and living life with incredible spirit. Nothing has held her back.
That’s why raising awareness and giving back through fundraising is so important to us. It’s our way of saying thank you and supporting others walking similar paths.
NHS NICU staff are truly remarkable. Their unwavering compassion, skill, and dedication during the most fragile moments in a family's life change outcomes and bring hope. These healthcare heroes are the difference-makers on the hardest days, and we will always be deeply grateful.
Working in such intense, high-pressure environments takes a toll. That's why we want to give something back—to create a more restful, supportive space by improving their staff room facilities.
Your support can help provide a small sanctuary for those who give so much. Let’s show our appreciation by giving them the comfort they deserve.
Donate today to make a difference for those who make a difference every day.
