More on Kraig:
Kraig Nienhuis played college hockey at RPI where he won the US National Championship in 1985 with Adam Oates. He went on to play 3 years for the Boston Bruins scoring 20 goals in 87 Games. he then went on to play 10 years in Europe, winning 3 Championships and scoring over 300 Goals.
Near the end of Kraig’s hockey career he began to take music seriously. Kraig grew up in a musical family and his parents were gospel singers. As was a singer, drummer, and guitar player, he quickly transitioned his professional hockey into a music career.
Kraig has performed all over the world on some of the biggest stages. he’s performed in front of many Winter Classic Hockey games in front of hundreds of thousands of people. Kraig has opened up for world renowned acts such as ZZTOP, Nickelback, Beach Boys, Doobie Brothers, Huey Lewis and Van Halen to name a few. He has become a staple in the NHL Alumni for his performances at many events. He was the feature at the Edmonton Oilers ’30 Year Reunion’ and their ‘Greatest Team’ Celebration. He can be seen in many performances on YouTube.
Kraig is renowned for being able to entertain any and all demographics as he is famous for being able to play any requests. He can play everything from A to Z and all eras and music genres.
