This Course is Run over 4 nights - you will need to attend all 4 evenings.
Mon 19th May, Tues 20th May, Mon 26th May ,Tues 27th May : Time 7pm-9pm
What is included in the course fee: Beginner Course + Club Membership + CI Insurance and access to all club gear + (Level 2 Skill Assessment - at end of season)
Juniors are welcome with parent / guardian paddling with them on the course or if a parent is already a club member - the mimimun age is 12 years old **
This hands-on course designed for newcomers. Our experienced Canoe Ireland registared instructors will teach you the basics of kayaking, from paddling techniques to safety tips and once you have successfully completed this course you will be eligible as a club member to take part in our weekly club nights and trips and you will be well on your way to gaining a Level 2 Kayak Skill Award at the end of the paddling season.
We will supply all the equipment and necessary gear you will need, (kayaks are sit in boats)
What to bring: wetsuit if you have one -wetsuits are available if you require one, old pair of shoes you can get wet in (runners are perfect )(no flipflops), a towel, change of clothes if you require). Toilets and shower facilites available.
You must be able to swim 30m and be happy to get wet.
