Summary
Gods faithfulness is demonstrated to the trusted words of the old Testament which formed the foundation for the new covenant teachings and the growth of faith among believers faith arises from hearing the message about Christ and the scripture serve both to save and judge based on acceptance or ejection of their message.
 Value of the Jewish heritage.
Jews hold a special advantage as they were entrusted with God’s words, which underpin the New Covenant and early Christian teachings. This foundation is essential for believers to grow in faith by hearing the Word of Christ.
 Faith and Rejection.
Lack of faith among some including Jews does not nullify God‘s faithfulness. Their failure stemmed from ignoring, twisting, or misusing the Scriptures, leading to a loss of faith similar to the prideful religiosity Jesus confronted.
 The Word’s Power.
The Word of God never returns empty. It saves those who accept it and judges those who rejected it. Misusing the word for selfish gain leads to condemnation rather than salvation.
Big Idea
God’s righteousness and human pride: Arguments questioning God’s justice or using sin to promote good reflect human pride and misunderstanding. God‘s eternal righteousness and plans are independent of human actions, and His salvation is a gift from God to humanity.
