BELLYDANCE WORKSHOPS WITH JESSICA GAMIL

Jessica is an award winning, London based belly dance teacher and performer with over 15 years experience. She is known for her clear explanations of technique and extensive knowledge, and is an in-demand teacher as a result having sold out all of her courses. She runs advanced belly dance courses in London and zoom, as well as mentoring dancers to prepare them for competitions and professional work.
Jessica regularly travels abroad to compete and study with master teachers and has won various International belly dance Competitions, including first places at Leylet Hob festival (Rising star, Switzerland, 2024) and Safar Festival (Semi pro, Italy, 2024), and 2nd place in the Bellydance Now International Competition (Professional, London 2024).

* Workshop 1: ‘UPGRADE YOUR HIPS (2 hours) Open level
Even though it’s often known as belly- dance, we know it’s all about the HIPS! Let your hips do the talking as you dance. In this workshop Jessica will focus on powerful Egyptian hip technique and juicy combos, so you can really make a statement.
* Workshop 2: ‘FLUIDITY AND ELEGANCE IN ORIENTAL DANCE (2 hours) Open level
Jessica is known for her feminine and elegant style with seamless transitions. In this workshop, Jessica is going to pass on all her secrets of how to make your performance flow smoothly and all your moves look extra graceful and beautiful.

Schedule:
10.30-doors open – chance to have a coffee or tea (included in ticket price) and a catch up
11.30- 1.30 - WORKSHOP 1
1.30- 2.30– Lunch break- buffet lunch provided and included in ticket price. Chance also to browse the bazaar and catch up with belly-dance friends
2.30- 4.30 - WORKSHOP 2
4.30- 6.15- Tea/coffee and biscuit refreshments (available 4.30- 5.00ish) and chance to browse the full bazaar. Chance to sit, relax and get made up and changed whilst the room is transformed ready for Casbah Café
6.30- Doors re-open for evening event CASBAH CAFE
7.15pm First performance (the time may vary depending on the number of acts)
