VE Day 80th Anniversary

Kidderminster Town Council is pleased to announce a special event to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. Join us on Thursday 8th May 2025 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at St Mary and All Saints Church, Churchfields, Kidderminster for an evening of remembrance and celebration.

What’s happening:
* Bell ringing by St Mary’s Society of Changeringers and Friends
* School Choir performance by St Catherine’s CE Primary School
Choir
* Wartime tunes from The Jukebox Jems
* Bagpipes by Craig Swarbrick - The Celtic Piper
* Reading by The Venerable Hayward Osborne and WFDC Armed Forces Champion, Councillor Kevin Gale
* Parade and line up featuring veterans associations, ex-service
groups, cadets and local youth organisations
* Town Crier proclamation from Stephen Day
* Tribute reading and beacon lighting by the Mayor of
Kidderminster, Councillor George Connolly
* Bugle by Heidi Worth
