Meet the Teacher and Learn about Classes at Harbor

Come learn about the structure and philosophy behind the homeschool enrichment classes offered at Harbor Commons. Classes are designed so that subjects are taught in parallel, allowing ideas from history, science, writing, and creative work to overlap and reinforce one another. In addition to subject-specific classes, students may participate in a Logic Lab, where they practice reasoning, pattern recognition, puzzles, and problem-solving in concrete, engaging ways. The teaching method emphasizes observation, curiosity, and process over speed or performance, and small class sizes ensure each student is known, supported, and able to participate fully in the work.
