This free event will offer kids stations at which they can play and collect candy. We encourage the wearing of costumes. While children play parents will have the opportunity to observe the child's development. The stations are designed to focus on specific areas of development including:
Cognitive ( thinking, planning, and problem solving)
Social/Emotional ( relating to others/managing and expressing feelings)
Language ( speaking, reading, writing)
Motor ( big and small muscle use, strength, and endurance)
When done, the parent will have a written evaluation of how the child is doing in each area. This gives the parent opportunities to encourage the next level of development, or focus on an area where more exposure would be helpful.
Our staff members will be on hand to help and answer any questions as these are parent lead activities.
