Exultate Singers
Conducted by David Ogden
You are warmly invited to a summer serenade at St Mary’s Church in Bitton, given in aid of the church's Development Fund.
Conducted by David Ogden, Exultate Singers will perform a selection of delightful choral music including choral works from 16th century composers Giovanni da Palestrina and the Italian nun composer Raffaella Aleotti, to tuneful and engaging contemporary music by Toby Young, Patrick Hawes, Ian Carpenter and John Barber.
The programme also features madrigals by the 19th century composer Robert Pearsall, who lived in nearby Willsbridge and who has close links with St Mary's Church. His tombstone was transported from Switzerland to St Mary's in 2012 and is now in the church porch.
