Running 101 Kick Off

We are excited to announce our Spring 2026 Running 101 program kicks off on March 7th at 9am . Our run/walk program is a group led run/walk interval workout that will help you train for a 5k! The training group will meet on Saturdays from 9am-10am. You will finish the program with a graduation race on April 26th at the Woodland Cemetery Free Your Sole 5k in Dayton.

We encourage participants to exercise at their own comfortable pace. New runners will benefit from the support and motivation of a group. Now, you no longer must be intimidated by running!

Registration fee is $50.00 and includes weekly coach-led workouts, UAR shirt, race registration and great perks at UAR!!

This program is for adults only, no strollers please. You should be able to walk briskly for 30 minutes prior to starting this program.

Program Includes:
One coached run/walk session per week and weekly training emails
Free UAR shirt and free entry into the 5k. (Unisex cotton/poly shirt)
$10.00 off one pair of running shoes and athletic bra (Discount offered at Up and Running first 30 days of program)
Time for YOU...to get fit, make friends and have fun!

Deadline for registration is the first day of the program so register early! Walk-in registration available at first class meeting on a space-available basis.

UAR and the program coaches are not liable for any injuries and incidents incurred during this program. You should be released from your physician before participating in the Running 101 Program.
