Following our community-wide read of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, parents, caregivers, educators, and community members are invited to gather for a morning of conversation, learning, and shared commitment around the mental health and well-being of children and youth. Together, we’ll explore how we can take collective action to support young people in an increasingly anxious world. You don't have to have participated in a book club or even read The Anxious Generation to participate in this event!
What to Expect
Expert Presentations: Learn from Bethany Mallory, PsyD, Child Psychologist and Erin Bucher, Elementary School Principal.
Topical table conversations facilitated by community experts and focused on shared challenges and local solutions.
Community resources related to: Youth and family mental health, screen-free community building and engagement, and local organizations supporting children, teens and families
Space to listen, learn, ask questions, and imagine what's possible when a community works together.
Elementary Activities: Companion activities will be provided for students in grades 1-5 during the event. (Pre-registration by February 6 required for kids activities!)
