Inspired by the textures and colours of the Cumbrian landscape, you will experiment with a range of
abstract painting and mark making techniques, culminating in the production of a final canvas painting, to take home.
With practical demonstrations and friendly advice, you will produce a variety of pieces in a fun and relaxed workshop, suitable for all. We will use acrylic paint and a range of brushes, alongside alternative mark making devices to create bold and expressive abstract paintings.
Hamish will guide you step by step in the construction of your final painting, from thumbnail sketches
through to final designs and the finished painting. Building up your painting from thin washes to thicker
