For our Sandlapper Track Weekend- 2025 we are happy to announce we are offering something new.
After meetings with the Track owners at CMP, and our National Driving Events Committee, we are now offering a drift weekend on the Kart Track at CMP. We attended the DriftHQ event on the 4th of July, and saw just how great an event this is. We are limiting entries to 50 people. Participants are not required to have a BMW, but club members will have an extra special bonus included in the weekend- Saturday night under the lights, and club members don’t have to have a BMW either. So if you want to run under the lights, and are not a member, sign up. It’s only $58 a year, and if all goes well we will be expanding these drift events, and maybe, just maybe we will see events at other tracks like Road Atlanta, the Michelin Proving Grounds and VIR. You can join the club at www.bmwcca.org . We are trying to get the club to sell 6 month memberships that will be about $30, but we have not been successful as of yet.
Registration for the Drift event is only $275 for the weekend.
Please- when filling out your Motorsportsreg profile, include a full resume of your experience. Be honest, if you're not, we will quickly find out, and we don't like sending people home.
We will be having live entertainment on Saturday night, and we always host a buffet dinner on Saturday. You can purchase dinner tickets for yourself and guests during registration. Novices are welcome, and will receive instruction. Drivers meetings and any classroom sessions are mandatory, and we are real good at taking attendance.
This weekend event is traditionally our Halloween celebration weekend, so if you like, decorate your paddock spaces. If you have kids, trick or treating is the norm. It’s always a fun weekend, and with a band and drifting added, this should be the best so far.
No, you won't be able to do the drift event and participate in the HPDE on the same weekend.
