Beginner/Intermediate Blockprinting Workshop with Mark Bair

You asked and we listened!! Mark Bair is back to teach a singular daylong workshop, Beginner & Intermediate Blockprinting on Saturday August 16 from 10am-4pm at the Guild Gallery & Art Center in Kerby. Looking to learn a new skill or hobby this summer? Try your hand at blockprinting with linoleum and make a stamp that can be used again and again to print on paper, fabric, clothing, and more!

Mark provides many years as a seasoned artist to help you find your courage and trust with the carving process. With his detailed instruction and hands-on assistance, you'll start and finish a linoleum block carving on your own in class. You'll then walk away with a series of prints along with knowledge of basic printmaking techniques, styles, ink types, and paper selection so you can keep printing at home. This workshop is for ages 18+ and all skill levels are welcome--no prior experience is required.

Class fees are sliding scale $55-$75 and includes ALL materials. You are welcome to bring your own paper, fabric, or other materials to print on, if desired.
