About the event

10 week beginner fencing Program.
Kick 2026 off with a Stab! Join Kings historical fencing for our 10 week beginner fencing program! Starting Friday January 23rd 2026, come learn the way of the longsword! Fridays at Kings County Academy’s gymnasium, Kentville, NS. Starting at 6pm - 730pm. You will get hands-on lessons with our instructors, learning to fence in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. All gear will be provided! The cost of the 10 week program is 160$.

The beginner program starts off with foam longswords and minimal gear (chest protector, fencing mask, gorget). Classes focus on conditioning, fencing technique, sparing and games!

You will need to bring a water bottle, clean gym shoes, and athletic wear. Groin protection is recommended for boys, chest protector is recommended for girls (provided). Registration on our website is required, Hurry spots are limited! www.kingshistoricalfencing.ca for more details
