Please join us to celebrate Disability Pride on Friday 18 July from 1:00pm to 4:00pm!
An afternoon to connect with community and celebrate Disability Pride together. We will kickoff with a speed meet (optional), followed by an open mic. There will be Disability Pride badge making, a sensory corner, and plenty of snacks. If you'd like to present at our open mic please get in touch with Emma via email at aW5mbyB8IGRyYyAhIG9yZyAhIGF1.
This year's pride event is held in honour of Kirsty Timberlake. Kirsty was a much loved Belong founding member. She was a proud Autistic pagan, and always a fierce advocate for disability rights.
Theme: Light Up Your Life
Dress Up: Cosy Casuals, Colour and/or Pyjamas! Think anything from your favourite pjs to your best comfy wear.
Hybrid Celebration: Can't make it in person? No worries, join us online. A zoom link will be emailed closer to the date.
Our Pride Open Mic is for everyone, whether you're at home or in the room. Share or perform anything about Disability Justice and Disability Pride—we'd love to hear from you! Performances and presentations can be up to 4 minutes long.
Our Pride Open Works space welcomes anyone who wants to share their art or creations.
Please contact Emma at aW5mbyB8IGRyYyAhIG9yZyAhIGF1 to secure your spot in the Open Mic or Open Works.
