In this 6-week session of youth art classes for children ages 5-9, we will explore some of the wonders of the forest through a variety of fun art projects. The lessons will span a variety of artistic media and techniques including: drawing, painting, mixed media, and ceramics. Projects will include:
Guided Drawing: Soft Pastel Owl
Watercolour Mushrooms & Snails
Mixed Media Miniature Animal Portrait Gallery
Slab-rolled Ceramic Forest Creatures
Oil Pastel Fauvist Forest Animal Portraits
Stained-Glass Inspired Trees in Watercolour and Marker
This 6 week course will run Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm from December 2, 2025 – January 27, 2026. There will be no classes on December 16, 23, or 30.
The cost to register is $170 (no tax), or $153 (no tax) for MUSE members. Limited to 16 participants. All materials are supplied. Parents are encouraged to attend with children aged 5 or those that require extra assistance.
