Edinburgh International Book Festival Live Stream

Alloa Library is thrilled to be streaming select events live from the Edinburgh International Book Festival for the first time enabling people to experience the festival’s events without travelling through to the city.
The event on 11 August is Hallie Rubenhold: Not Just Victims.
Medical fraudsters, fevered manhunts, sudden disappearances - the infamous true story of an Edwardian crime comes to life in Story of a Murder: The Wives, the Mistress and Dr Crippen. Hallie Rubenhold (bestselling author of The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper) is a virtuoso in giving voice to women ignored by history. Talking with Val McDermid, she discusses her project to restore female figures to their rightful place.
