Step into the haunting beauty of New Orleans’ Cities of the Dead in this immersive clay workshop. You’ll create an exquisite lidded tomb — sculpted by hand from slabs of clay and detailed with carved brickwork, crosses, nameplates, and weathered texture that feels straight out of St. Louis Cemetery.
This is not a quick project — it’s a three-hour, fully guided experience designed for makers who love detail and atmosphere. You’ll learn advanced clay-building techniques, guided carving, and creative aging effects that bring your tomb to life.
Your finished piece can serve as a decorative urn, keepsake box, or simply an art object — a little monument of your own making.

$150 all inclusive: three hour building workshop, two hour return glazing visit (at your convenience), two kiln firings, clay, glaze, instruction.
You will come back to glaze your tomb in about three weeks.
Then we'll fire it again before you take it home for good.
