Join us for a festive workshop to make some simple and stylish Scandi-style decorations. This is the second of our two-part festive workshop series.
Using zero-waste, ‘found’ materials, just three embroidery stitches, plus blanket stitch for the the edges, you will create your own felt, hanging ornament. Choose from a range of styles and shapes, or design your own.
Suitable for beginners as well as those with sewing and embroidery experience. A mindful and relaxing seasonal activity.🎄
We will provide:
- all embroidery equipment, fabrics and threads
- examples of Scandi-style embroidery to get your creative juices flowing
- festive refreshments.
Feel free to bring:
- any spare felt/boiled wool you might have
- a sewing kit if you have one
Your host
This relaxed pace, small group workshop will be led by Karen Bentley-Brown, business and wellbeing coach, founder of Simply Repair South Lakes and Future Fixers CIC and a Green Sketch Ambassador. With a background in Geography and environmental education, Karen has a passion for connecting people with nature and with themselves. She loves to share her experiences of mindful mending, sketching nature and journalling.
