Join us for Owlbert’s History Adventures as we step back in time with the Cowlitz County Historical Museum to experience A Pioneer Child’s Life!
Families will get a hands-on look at what life was like for children growing up in pioneer days. From making mini covered wagons to building log cabins, doing chores, going to a one-room schoolhouse, and playing pioneer games — kids will discover the fun (and hard work!) of pioneer life in the 1800s.
Event Schedule:
• 4:30–4:45 PM | Getting Here on the Oregon Trail
Learn about the Oregon Trail and make mini-covered wagons.
• 4:45–5:00 PM | Pioneer Home and Chores
Build “log cabins” and explore chores pioneer kids had to do.
• 5:00–5:15 PM | Pioneer School
Try your hand at pioneer lessons and make your own copybook.
• 5:15–5:30 PM | Pioneer Toys & Games
Play with historic toys and enjoy pioneer play stations.
