Saturday the 21st March is International Day of Forests and we are celebrating with an open studio’s day. It’s a chance to step behind the scenes, explore our timber yard and workshop, and meet the makers who transform locally grown wood into lasting pieces.
What’s happening on the day:
Join a Tree to Table tour – See how we source, mill and dry native hardwood on-site in our specialist timber yard.
• Tours @ 11.30 and 2pm
Browse timber for sale – Discover a range of locally grown hardwood, including both air-dried and kiln-dried timber, as well as planned boards ready for use in our on-site Wood Shop.
Meet the makers – Chat with our resident designer-makers about their craft and how they use both modern and traditional skills.
Visit the showroom – Explore our handcrafted furniture and high-quality wood products made right here in the Borders.
Discover our future plans– Learn about our exciting vision for a new Centre for Wood and what it means for the community.
