Going for Gold: Leadership & Resilience

Our next winter meeting is fast approaching, and the committee look forward to seeing another good turnout of members on Monday 1st December at 7.30pm in DUNS RUGBY CLUB (note change of venue). Membership is £10 with a single meeting being £5.

Feel free to invite along others and we would encourage attendees to join the speaker and members of the committee for supper beforehand (18.30). A delicious two course supper has been arranged and please let a member of the committee know to preorder food by Thursday 20th November.

Samantha Kinghorn is a Scottish Paralympic athlete and world champion wheelchair racer. After a life changing farm accident in 2010, she discovered wheelchair racing and went on to become one of Britain’s most successful para-athletes.

She has won multiple World Championship titles and earned silver and bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. In recognition of her achievements, Samantha was awarded an MBE in 2022 and an OBE in 2025 for services to disability sports and athletics.
