The City of Kelso is pleased to announce the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly completed Catlin Rotary Spray Park. This celebratory event will take place on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Catlin Rotary Spark Park, 106 NW 8th Avenue, Kelso, WA. The ceremony is expected to last approximately 30 minutes, and all members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
The Catlin Rotary Spray Park represents a significant enhancement to our community’s recreational facilities, offering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of all ages to play and cool off during warm weather. This project was made possible through full funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, and we are proud to see this vision come to life.
We are honored to welcome several distinguished guests to this event, including the Mayor, Kelso City Council, Kelso City Manager, Kelso Park Board, Kelso Longview Chamber of Commerce, Cowlitz County Commissioners, and the Kelso Rotary. Their support and commitment have been instrumental in the successful completion of this project.
Special recognition is extended to the following individuals and organizations for their contributions:
• Will Hoskins, Senior Engineer
• Mike Kardas, City Engineer
• Andrew Hamilton, City Manager
• Cora Siipola, County Health Department
