ISAAC GASANGWA, aka Izo Dreamchaser, is a distinguished leader in the Vancouver dance community. As Founder / Artistic Director of Afrobeats Van with a mission to "Dance, Inspire, Educate," he enriches the local dance community and fosters cultural connection and inclusivity. Isaac's passion for dance is rooted in the cultural fabric of his origins in Rwanda, where he established a nationally acclaimed dance group and initiated a thriving program for underprivileged children.

April 27:
ACACIA SCHACHTE, a Nelson, BC resident, trained at Arts Umbrella Academy in Vancouver and joined Ballet BC in 1999 where she danced for seven years in productions by renowned choreographers. In 2006, Acacia joined Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York where for eight seasons she toured internationally, performing works by Crystal Pite, among others. In 2010, she landed the role of stunt double for actress Emily Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau.

SYLVAIN BROCHU is a performer, creator and teacher of great range and vision who has been involved in the performing arts for four decades. As a dance artist, he has worked with numerous companies and had a fruitful solo career. Originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Sylvain now resides in Gibsons BC and has since been the instigator of many productions involving local community dancers and singers as well as professional guest artists from around BC.

CLAUDIA MOORE, performer and founder of Moonhorse Dance Theatre / Older & Reckless, has been a force on the Canadian dance scene since the late 70’s. After two years with the National Ballet of Canada, she became a featured performer with Toronto Dance Theatre and Desrosiers Dance Theatre. Now a resident of West Kelowna, Claudia is thrilled to continue performing, teaching and serving as Dance West Network's Community Dance Connector.

PALAK DHIMAN is a Kathak-trained independent dance artist, choreographer, and educator based in Vancouver. She has performed across Canada, the US, India, and Nepal. In 2024, as a guest Kathak performer in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s The Nutcracker, she helped highlight Kathak in a ballet production. With an MA in Sociology, Palak explores Kathak's cultural significance and evolution, and teaches and promotes Kathak globally.
